One More Book For Your Christmas List
I don't know if you're like me, but understanding how the Old Testament relates to the Christian community today has always been a struggle. In particular, what should we do with the first five books of the Bible that are primarily made up of "laws" (the Pentateuch)?
One book that has been extremely helpful to me recently is John Sailhamer's, The Meaning of the Pentateuch: Revelation, Composition, and Interpretation. It is not for the faint of heart, checking in at a whopping 631 pages, but is well worth your time. Add it to your Christmas list!
