How Has God Been Speaking Through Jonah?

Over the past few weeks we've been studying Jonah at City of God. Last week a number of people left reflections on how God has been speaking to them through this book. Feel free to leave your own reflection in the comments section.

"God has shown me how forgetful I am. Again, He is calling for my attention. Calling for me to turn away from idolizing men and relationships and set my eyes to him."

"God has called me to serve in ministry to people by a change in my attitude to live passionately for Him."

"I prayed God would put me in a place where I could share His love with people and He did, but I've ignored his call to share my faith with them. They are all desperate and hurting, searching for glory and love. I need strength to share my hope and love with them."

"I run from the idea of witnessing to friends and co workers. This series has encouraged me to begin and step out of my comfort zone. He has placed me in a few awesome situation since I opened my heart to the idea."

"God is saying to me, 'Trust me that I'm big enough to take care of you, fight for you, and make you clean. I am enough. My sacrifice is enough. I will go before you. I will be with you."

"God is challenging me to make Him my first love and to surrender and trust God with my love story."

"I need to stop running from God's calling to start serving the church that serves me and my community."

So how has God spoke to you in this series? Leave your comments below.
