How Can You Serve Lafayette?

A few weeks ago we received this e-mail from one of the principals at Lafayette Tecumseh Jr/Sr High.

Thank you for offering to help provide our students with school supplies. Lafayette Tecumseh Junior High School serves close to 1,000 seventh and eighth grade students with a poverty rate of 65%. It is very important that are students are equipped with the tools they need to gets the most out of their educational career. Here are a few of the items our counselors suggested:

Binders

Pencils - #2

Loose leaf paper – college ruled

Composition Books or Spiral Notebooks – college ruled

Folders-ones than can go in binders (3 hole punched)

Highlighters

Over the next month we'll be collecting these items at City of God. Following our Easter service we're hoping to have a sizeable donation to make to the school. Just bring these in with you on Sunday mornings and we'll collect them there.
